Our contemporaneity is affected by capitalism that deterritorializes and reterritorializes everything in its path, disembodies any relationship that concerns experience with the territory. Today, spaces are not practiced, but rather traversed as they are elements that connect places with one another. If a place is defined by its identity, political, and historical relationships, a space that cannot be defined by any of these characteristics is an interstitial space, a space between spaces, devoid of content. Our cities and towns are plagued by these in-between places; neglected spaces where abandonment, the passage of time, and waste have transformed the landscape into rarely passable territories.

How to walk a space [today] is an artistic proposal that aims to highlight the hybrid condition of space in our present time rescuing these forgotten spaces and reconnecting with them. Through a rhetoric of the inner-digital and the outer-material, the project invites the user to navigate a map composed of various interstitial spaces in the town of Haag captured through 3D scanning. The viewer will be able to freely explore the space and, at the same time, experience the registered places in the physical exhibition space through the installation in the shop window of Ent.

Nuestra contemporaneidad está afectada por el capitalismo que desterritorializa y reterritorializa todo a su paso, desencarna cualquier relación que concierna a la experiencia con el territorio. Hoy en día, los espacios no se practican, sino que se recorren, ya que son elementos que conectan unos lugares con otros. Si un lugar se define por sus relaciones identitarias, políticas e históricas, un espacio que no puede definirse por ninguna de estas características es un espacio intersticial, un espacio entre espacios, vacío de contenido. Nuestras ciudades y pueblos están plagados de estos lugares intermedios; espacios descuidados donde el abandono, el paso del tiempo y los residuos han transformado el paisaje en territorios raramente transitables.

How to walk a space [today] es una propuesta artística que pretende poner de manifiesto la condición híbrida del espacio en nuestro tiempo presente rescatando estos espacios olvidados y reconectando con ellos. A través de una retórica de lo interior-digital y lo exterior-material, el proyecto invita al usuario a navegar por un mapa compuesto por diversos espacios intersticiales de la ciudad de Haag capturados mediante escaneado 3D. El espectador podrá explorar libremente el espacio y, al mismo tiempo, experimentar los lugares registrados en el espacio físico de la exposición a través de la instalación en el escaparate de Ent.
