In the same way that the pareidolic effect occurs in the perceptual sphere, we could say that A.I. images have another type of pareidolia, a symbolic-semiotic pareidolia. That is to say, an image, insofar as it is an image, has a multitude of political, economic and social charges. The artificial image, on the other hand, has that aberrant and disarticulated dimension, to a greater or lesser extent, which dismantles all previous meaning and remains empty of content. It is a mass of formal latencies on the verge of symbolic hatching. Our audiovisual essay consisted of filling this mass, these images with meaning, from our xeno category .

The initial aim of [x]enoimage is to develop an audiovisual experiment in which xenoimages are confronted with the recognition by computer vision and to visualise this confrontation between the classification dictated by the code and the visual disarticulation of all meaning by means of images that lack it.
